Carta del Presidente

En primer lugar, quiero agradecer el honor concedido al ser elegido para presidir esta hermosa Comunidad.

Iamim Noraim es el momento de hacer un balance de lo realizado. Luego de dos años tremendamente difíciles de pandemia, pudimos volver a abrazarnos. Fue como un recomenzar. Un trabajo durísimo, pero nadie bajó los brazos. Por el contrario, cada uno puso lo mejor de sí para lograrlo, para que nuestra querida Comunidad brillará más que nunca y pudiéramos seguir compartiendo la vida dentro de nuestras tradiciones judías. Así fue como acompañamos y nos acompañaron en este año una cantidad increíble de personas a lo largo del mundo. Solo basta mencionar algunas cifras:

2.000 familias en Pesaj en Argentina y en más de 10 paises
1.000 familias en Shavuot
100 familias en Bar y Bat Mitzva
800 amigos todos los viernes en nuestros Kabalat Shabat, 1500 pantallas en directo y más de 6.000 en días subsiguientes
50 asistentes en los minian de lunes y jueves
600 participantes en nuestros grupos de estudio
500 familias siguen recibiendo asistencia de nuestros proyectos sociales
350 adultos mayores siendo contenidos a través de llamadas telefónicas por nuestros voluntarios en el proyecto CONTA CONMIGO, por el que fuimos reconocidos con el premio de la fundación NAVARRO VIOLA
5.000 raciones de comida entregadas mensualmente en la campaña ALIMENTANDO EL ALMA

Siento un inmenso orgullo por los innumerables proyectos realizados este año. Mencionaré solo algunos como ejemplo:

TRAZOS DE VIDA en homenaje a las víctimas de la AMIA llevado a cabo por el departamento de Cultura
MILA acompañando a decenas de personas en su proceso de duelo
ALMA con sus múltiples acciones tratando siempre de mejorar el mundo que nos rodea.
La próxima inauguración del refugio para adultos mayores en Israel donado por Amijai a través de un esfuerzo conjunto con el Keren Hayesod
Viaje de acompañamiento a las colonias de Entre Rios
Las actividades de Juventud y de BBYO

Todo esto es posible gracias al acompañamiento de todos ustedes.

GRACIAS a los voluntarios que integran la comisión directiva, y especialmente a los que me acompañan en la mesa ejecutiva que entregan su tiempo con amor y dedicación.
GRACIAS a mi esposa e hijos que me apoyan siempre.
Y, por último, GRACIAS a nuestro querido Rab ALE AVRUJ, maestro y guía espiritual por su absoluta entrega y enseñanzas.

Que este nuevo año nos traiga salud, tranquilidad, paz y mucho amor para nuestras familias, para nuestra Comunidad, para Argentina, para Israel y para el mundo entero.

The President’s Letter

Dear Members and Friends,

First of all, I would like to thank you for the honor of appointing me President of this beautiful Congregation.

Yamim Nora’im is the time to take stock of what has been accomplished so far. After two unbelievably hard years of pandemic, we were able to hug each other again. It felt like starting over. It was really hard work but nobody gave up. On the contrary, each person did their best to reach the goals, so that our beloved Community could shine brighter than ever and we could all share our life within the Jewish traditions. We have been able to stay close to many and at the same time we have been accompanied by an amazing amount of people from all over the world. Just to mention some figures:

2,000 families for Pesach in Argentina and in over 10 countries.
1,000 families for Shavuot.
100 families have celebrated Bar y Bat Mitzvahs.
800 friends attend our Kabbalat Shabbat services every Friday, with 1,500 live screens online plus 6,000 views over the next few days.
50 people attend our Mondays and Thursdays Minyan.
600 people attend our study groups.
500 families continue to receive the support of our social action projects.
350 seniors receive care and support by means of regular phone calls from our volunteers, who take part in the CONTÁ CONMIGO (Count with Me) project, an endeavor which has received the NAVARRO VIOLA FOUNDATION Award.
5,000 food rations are delivered on a monthly basis as part of the ALIMENTANDO EL ALMA (Feeding the Soul) campaign.

I am so proud of the countless projects carried out this year. Just to mention a few:

TRAZOS DE VIDA (Life Strokes), a memorial for the victims of the AMIA bombing, which was organized by the Department of Cultural Events.
MILA to accompany so many people during their grieving process.
ALMA, a group with multiple activities, always trying their best to make our world a better place.
The forthcoming opening of a shelter for the seniors in Israel, donated by Amijai in a joint effort with Keren Hayesod.
A group trip to the Jewish colonies in Entre Rios.
The activities carried out in our Youth Department and BBYO.

All of this has been possible because of you all.
